ABOUT THE ROLE

Where human performance meets data. As a Sports Physiotherapist at Ball2Data, you will work at the intersection of athlete health, movement analysis, biomechanics and sports science — contributing to projects that go beyond the treatment table. You will work directly with biomechanical data extracted from sports footage — joint angles, movement patterns and skeletal tracking — translating raw data into performance and injury prevention insights. We want practitioners who think in systems, not just symptoms. This is a fully remote internship and project-based role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Contribute to athlete performance and injury prevention projects
Analyse biomechanical data — joint angles, movement patterns, body kinematics extracted from video
Interpret skeletal tracking data from computer vision pipelines
Develop injury risk profiling frameworks using biomechanical and physical data
Collaborate with the computer vision team on biomechanics data extraction
Support ACWR and load management methodologies across sports
Translate biomechanical insights into actionable coaching and performance recommendations
Contribute to research and development in sports performance intelligence

REQUIREMENTS

Qualified Sports Physiotherapist — degree level or equivalent
Experience working with athletes in cricket, football, rugby or volleyball
Strong understanding of injury prevention and load management
Ability to interpret and contribute to performance data analysis
Excellent communication skills — English fluency required
Comfortable working remotely on project-based deliverables
